Spoon Penguin Puppets
How to make a Penguin!
Step 1: Gather the materials You will need:
- A pencil
- Scissors
- Glue
- Orange, Black, and White construction paper (if you don't have white you can use printer paper)
- A white plastic spoon
Step 2:
Draw a medium sized teardrop shape (you can do this by drawing a curve for the bottom of the shape, then connect it at the top at a peak) as the body of the penguin.
Step 3:
Step 4:
Cut out the parts, and glue the arms towards the top of the teardrop shape.
Step 5:
Now draw a small triangle as the beak of the penguin, and a sideways B shape as the detain on the neck of the penguin. Cut them both out (Note: be careful not to loose them because they are small).
Step 6:
Take your penguin body and fold it lengthwise. Once it is folded, take your scissors and cut a small slit towards the bottom of the folded body on the closed side of the fold. Be careful not to cut the entire bottom part of the body off. One you have cut your small slit, open up the body. You should have a small cut in the middle of the end part of the body.
Step 7:
Now that you have a slit near the end of the body, push the spoon into the slit. There should be a narrow strip that rests on top of the stop of the stick part of the spoon. The spoon will be like the white belly of the penguin.
Step 8:
Step 9:
Glue The orange beak that you cut out right under the 2 googly eyes. Then, Glue the orange sideways B shape onto the narrow black strip that rests on the spoon.
And now, your done! Congratulations you have made a spoon penguin puppet!
