A Penguin's Winter Wonderland

 A Penguin's Winter Wonderland

Step 1: Gather Materials

Materials:

  • Construction paper (black, white, light blue, orange)
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Tape/Glue
  • Googly Eyes
  • Ribbon scraps (Optional)
Step 2: Make the Penguin :)

Make a handprint on the black construction paper, trace it, and cut it out.

It should look like this! If there are traces of the color you used to trace the handprint, feel free to flip the hand over to show the side without markings!

Grab the orange colored construction paper and draw a small square with your pencil. Then cut it out.
Once you do this, fold it in half, This is the beak of the penguin, we made it 3-D! We will assemble the rest later, for now save the body of the penguin (handprint) and beak!

Step 3: Winter Wonderland
Being out the white construction paper, pencil and scissors next. Draw the shape that you see above. One circle, and one wavy strip. Cut these two shapes out.

This is how the shapes should look at the end. KEEP these, but you can discard the rest of the white paper, we will not be using it!

Step 4: Winter Wonderland Assembly
Grab the light blue construction paper. This will be used as our background!
Grab the handprint from earlier, and the two white shapes. Arrange them as shown above!
Add the googly eyes and beak on the penguin! Tape and glue all pieces to each other and the background!

Step 5: Decoration
Grab your decorative ribbon and scissors if you choose to complete this step. Cut it up into any desirable shapes and sizes!
This is your amazing winter wonderland penguin! Look how adorable he is!
