Banjos
How to make a Banjo!
Step 1: Gather the materials :)
You will need:
- Scissors
- Colored construction paper
- Rubber bands
- Small jar lids
- Wooden sticks/popsicle sticks
- Glue
- Markers
- OPTIONAL stencils and Washi/masking tape to decorate
Step 2:
Flip the bottle caps over so the flat side is pointing down. Then take 3-4 rubber bands and put them all side by side on over the lid.
Note: If the rubber bands are too long double loop them, then add it onto the cap.
Step 3:
Cut a part of your construction paper big enough to fit your wooden stick. Then place your wooden stick on the paper strip and roll the paper over the stick to cover it.
Step 4:
One the stick is rolled in the paper, glue the edges of the paper to secure the stick.
Step 5:
Take another color of construction paper (different from the one you rolled the stick in) and decorate however you want with markers or any other supplies including stencils.
Step 6:
Step 7:
Glue the strips onto the wrapped stick to add that pop of color as well as Washi/ masking tape if you want for extra decoration.
Step 8:
Now, to put it all together, add glue to the top of your decorated wooden stick and glue it to the bottle caps with the rubber bands. Put it somewhere to let it dry for 1-2 hours and it will be done!
The final product should look something like this.
Enjoy!
