Animal Bookmarks

 We are making Animal Bookmarks!

Step 1: Gather the materials.

You will need:

• Colored construction paper
• Straws
• Tape
• Glue
• Scissors
• a pencil
• a black marker
• Optional ribbon to decorate 
• Googly Eyes 

Step 2:

Draw each part of your animal (head, arms, body, and extra features ex. ears if your animal has it)

Step 3:

Draw in features that are another color (cheeks, nose, feet, inner ear if it applies to your animal)

Step 4:

Cut out your body parts and features with scissors

Step 5:

Glue the body of your animal to its head.

Step 6:

Now glue other parts like the feet, ears, nose, arms, inner ears, and nose.

Step 7:

Once you have glued the other parts on, glue on the googly eyes to finish the face (if you dont have googly eyes you can draw in your eyes with your black marker).

Step 8:

Draw in any extra features like the mouth on your animal. Now the animal part of the bookmark is finished! Good Job!

Step 9:

Now, cut off the end of your straw to take off the bendy part (if your straw is not bendy just cut off a little bit of the end so it will fit well for the next step). 

Step 10:

Now, flip your animal over face down and place the cut straw just below the top of its head. Then cut a piece of tape and stick it across the straw on the animal to secure the straw. 

Your done! flip your creation back over face up and use it in any book you want! It will look something like this.
